Here at Dragon Deepwater Development Inc. we like to give back. We’re big supporters of local and national charities, community organisations and groups that we champion through a range of charitable fundraising initiatives. Over the years we have donated financial support and man & woman power within our community to support the efforts of the organisations below. We’ve got a great team here at Dragon Deepwater, who not only keep the Dragon Deepwater cogs turning every day, but also go the extra mile to fundraise and volunteer their time. Please join our team in helping out and supporting some of the charities and foundations below.
The Paw Project educates the public about why declawing is inhumane. Many people, including animal lovers, do not realize that declawing is a surgical procedure in which the animal's toes are amputated at the last joint. A portion of the bone, not just the nail, is removed. Declawing may result in permanent lameness, arthritis, and other long-term complications. The practice, although common in the United States, is actually illegal in many countries. Great Britain's Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons goes so far as to declare declawing "unnecessary mutilation."

The story begins when Alex and Andrew take a surf trip to Bali Indonesia that would inevitably change their lives and the fate of the ocean. Devastated by the amount of plastic in the ocean, they set out to find out why no one was doing anything about it. One afternoon they came across an old fishing village where fishermen were literally pushing their boat through piles of plastic that had washed up on shore. The two surfers realized that the proliferation of plastic threatened both the ocean environment and the fishermen's livelihood. Could the fishermen use their nets, they wondered, to pull the plastic from the ocean? This idea stuck with the 2 surfers and they knew it was time to hit the drawing board. After realizing that the demand for seafood was driving the fishermen to focus on fish instead of plastic, they knew they had to create something that could fund the desired cleanup efforts. This is how the 4Ocean Bracelet was born.

Golden Paw Society

Golden Paw Society, Inc. is an exclusively charitable, all-volunteer run organization (501c3 tax exempt) dedicated to changing the plight of shelter cats on Long Island. We rescue cats who have been in municipal shelters for an extended period of time or who exhibit a dire need of removal from the shelter setting, and who are therefore most at-risk of being euthanized. We periodically rotate to each shelter on Long Island with the ultimate goal of there being NO cats sitting in a cage long-term awaiting rescue. We believe that no matter how old, sick or 'difficult' a cat may be, each cat deserves to be loved, cared for and given a second chance, and we endeavor to provide that second chance to those cats who need us most.
